Florence J. Gillmor Hall

With outstanding faculty and academic offerings as well as generous scholarship support, Westminster College’s performing and visual arts programs are among the finest in the region. Soon, these programs will reach even greater heights with the completion of a new, state-of-the-art facility to call home: Florence J. Gillmor Hall.

This expansion of our performing arts complex honors Florence J. Gillmor (’38), a beloved Westminster graduate and lifelong supporter of the Westminster music program. Over the years, her estate has graciously provided funding for student scholarships and for Westminster’s art-related programs and facilities.

Thanks to the generosity of the Florence J. Gillmor Foundation, the Emma Eccles Jones Foundation, the Joan and Tim Fenton Foundation, and other donors, the new expansion will allow Westminster to better serve our exceptional performing and visual arts students through enhanced classroom, rehearsal, performance, and display spaces.

Many donors joined President Dobkin to break ground for the new building on February 19, 2020. The project is now nearing completion, with a grand opening anticipated in early 2022.
